JOHN DEERE

One rule: No actors on tractors. But can real people perform? Sure, kinda.

We were welcomed in seven locations to capture real Deere owners working their land. They channeled their inner Meryl, while improvising a few lines of their own. Then we cut it up, creating fun, seamless-ish handoffs. All to show that while hard work may look different, the goal is always the same: to make the most of their land.

I was responsible for the Gator work, forbidden from touching the equipment.

Truth: only time I’ve seen any of these spots run was while waiting at the doctor. I told a sleeping man nearby, “Yes, I helped make that.” Later, he asked about anamorphic lenses. That last bit’s a lie.
