JOHN DEERE CONSTRUCTION

EP+CO won Deere’s construction business and I was asked to lead the team. My opinion, we played nice together in the sandbox.

Unlike their green machines, construction sits firmly at #2 in the category. In part, because “No [customer] gets fired for buying CAT equipment.” So how do we win? The job’s not done yet, but it starts by being brutally honest about the countless challenges our customers face: rework, jobsite safety, labor shortages, deadlines, fuel prices, bidding accurately, Monster energy cravings, weather of any kind, etc., etc. And by working just like they do: Never Idle.

As guests on jobsites, we met remarkable people. We talked, listened, ate, sweat, laughed, and bled alongside them. All while doing everything we possibly could to not slow them down.
